Thank you for visiting our site. Our goal is to give you the best possible instruction in the safe use of firearms to defend yourself and your family. We work hard to maintain all the latest techniques and teaching methods to give you the best experience in the Grand Rapids area. We specialize and are experienced in training those who don't normally consider themselves to be "gun people".

West Michigan Firearms Training now serves the North Western Lower Peninsula as well, based out of Charlevoix County. Private classes and individual instruction are also available.

West Michigan Firearms Training offers NRA certified classes in Basic Pistol, and Personal Protection in the Home. Basic Pistol is perfect for the first timer, and Personal Protection in the Home is the class required to obtain your Michigan CPL (Michigan CCW license).

On July 1st 2001 Michigan Public act 381 went into effect. Under this new law, county gun boards were required to issue CCW permits to any citizen at least 21 years old who has no felony convictions or any history of mental illness. Since then almost 250,000 Michigan citizens have taken the responsibility for their own safety.
